For the 150^th anniversary of the birth of Richard Strauss (11 June 1864 – 8 September 1949) –  on 11 June 2014 – Eva Marton, a Kossuth Prize winner soprano, the head of the Department of Dramatic Arts of Hungarian Academy of Arts (MMA) and Szilveszter Ókovács, the General Director of the Hungarian State Opera inaugurated the bust of Richard Strauss by the sculptor Sándor Kligl at the wall of the Hungarian State Opera.

On 25 May 2014, after nearly 40 years after my first Kaiserin I saw and listened the Hungarian premiere of Die Frau ohne Schatten with nostalgia in my usual seat, in the 11^th box of the first floor on the left side. For the 150^th anniversary of the Richard Strauss’s birth, – beside his other operas – the directorship dared to perform this extraordinarily demanding and difficult work at first! They managed to do it!
