Eleven candidate managed to get into the final of the I. International Eva Marton Singing Competition

On 20th of September, at 18.00. at the Great Hall of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music will be decided, who are those, who will win the prizes of the I. International Singing Competition of Eva Marton.

On the final of the competition at the Great Hall of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music, on 20th  of September 2014, Saturday at 18.00., all candidates are assigned to sing two arias. It can be followed live on the website: zeneakademia.hu and on martoncompetition.hu. During the final the MÁV Symphonic Orchestra will assist with the lead of Ádám Medveczky – the order of the arias can be red bellow. At the end the jury will announce the places, and the bests will be awarded. The final occasion of the competition will take place and the Hungarian State Opera at 19:30 on Sunday with a concert of the awarded. At that time the Special awards will also be given.

The I. International Eva Marton Singing Competition is the first self organized magnificent competition of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music. However the most of the candidates were from Ukraine, Russia, Romania, Poland, and from Asia (South-Korea, China, Japan), there were candidates also from West-Europe such as: Switzerland, Denmark, Belgium, Great-Britain, Portugal, Spain, France and Italy. Also other countries were represented Argentina, and the Philippines. Among the 21 candidates there were 4 Hungarian in the semifinals, which took place at the Solti Hall of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music on Thursday evening. There the singers had to perform two self chosen opera parts with piano assist. In the semi-finals, which was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, there were 62 young singers, among them 9 Hungarian. The singers had to perform a sing from Franz Liszt, and two arias with different characteristics.
